Work People

Here are some random photos of design teams I either lead or worked with during my career. These photos are in no particular order.

The engineering team at Portalplayer, the company was later purchased by NVIDIA.  This office was on Scott Blvd in Santa Clara.

This is the Philips Electronics team during one of our many trips to our set top box factory in Guadalajara Mexico.  The man in the center holding the box was from Flextronics and later became an exec at Tesla Motors.

Here is the Transmeta “FlexGo” team photo take on a rafting trip we took down the American River near Sacramento California.

Here is the “Tank” engineering team at 3Com.  The guy standing on the left was Lloyd Oliver who was Bob Metcalfe’s assistant at Xerox PARC.

Here I am with the Sony Atsugi Japan engineering team.  Many of these people where responsible for the early development of digital audio technologies that were incorporated into CD’s, DVD’s and satellite communications.  It was a great honor for me to be part of this team.

Yes, that’s me on the far left just before entering a clean room at a factory in China.  This was the management team from the Dell factory where we were working on a pilot run of a secure computing platform for Transmeta.

Here I am at an Audio Engineering Society event celebrating my 13 years of service to the society.
